Brogger Spring 2019 Ready-to-Wear Inspired Tailored Jacket

To explore tailoring methods and techniques, I chose to replicate one of the looks created by Brogger for the Spring 2019 Read-to-Wear collection. With being my first tailored jacket creation, I chose to work with wool due to its forgiving characteristics and features. The wool used included different colours of authentic original Harris Tweed.

The jacket it self was pattern drafted with an oversized masculine fit with a modern approach using a double-breasted fastening. Specific tailored features constructed in the tailored jacket included a notched collar and lapel, back and sleeve vents, fully functioning double jet and welt pockets, functioning buttons and buttonholes, as well as a fully constructed, inserted, contrasting lining provided by White Lodge Fabrics.

The piece is fully lined and includes a  and double breasted fastening.
