Behind the Seams Exhibition 2021

I had the opportunity to be part of the exhibition preparation team at Preston Park Museum, more specifically the “Behind the Seams” Exhibition. My time within the team involved costume handling, dressing, maintaining/preserving, and display. 

The exhibition installation spread from unpacking the costumes, accessories and props, provided by Angels Fancy Dress, to finalising the display and presentation of the costumes within the exhibition. My experience at Preston Park Museum developed my presentation skills of garments as well as providing new knowledge of behind the scenes at a museum and exhibitions.
